| The problem of forest pests is one of the main reasons that hinder the healthy development of China’s forest. In order to find out the occurrence situation of regional forest pests, and furthermore put forward more correct control countermeasures and promote the healthy development of forest, studies on forest pests were carried out during April to November 2015 in Zoucheng and Weishan which covered 3 subdistricts and 13 towns in Zoucheng and 3 subdistricts, 12 towns and 1 economic development zone in Weishan, using field investigation. The results are as follows:1. 1530 specimens were collected in total, including 1320 forest insect specimens of 125 species and 210 forest disease specimens of 19 kinds, in which there were 24 common forest insects and diseases, including 17 forest insects, 7 forest diseaces on 14 survey routes in Zoucheng. There were 7 most harmful species such as Hyphantria cunea, Micromelalopha sieversi, Corythucha ciliate, Apocheima cinerarius, Anomala corpulenta and Marssonina brunnea, Gummosis.2. 1200 specimens were collected in total, including 1100 forest insect specimens of 99 species and 100 forest disease specimens of 14 kinds, in which there were 12 common forest insects and diseases on13 survey routes in Weishan. There were 7 most harmful species such as Hyphantria cunea, Micromelalopha sieversi, Corythucha ciliate, Apocheima cinerarius, Anomala corpulenta and Botryosphaeria ribis, Marssonina brunnea.3. There were both objective and subjective factors affecting the forest pests happened as follows:(1) Objective factors included the historical source of forest pests, the environmental deterioration, the single structure of forests, the invasion of forest pests, the extensive mode of forest management, the shortage of funds of forest protection, the weak foundation of control, the imperfection of quarantine work, the lack of efficient reduction technology and the low scientific conversion rate.(2) Subjective factors included the lack of awareness, the weakness of legal concept and insufficient systematic control.4. Comparing situations of forest pests in Zoucheng and Weishan, we found that there were more forest pests in Zoucheng than in Weishan and similar major forest pests such as Hyphantria cunea which was most harmful specie both in Zoucheng and Weishan, the forest pests had more damages but less distributive range in Zoucheng than those in Weishan.5. Comparing situations of forest pests control measures in Zoucheng and Weishan, we found that the forest pests control systems were both inadequate in Zoucheng and Weishan and need to be improved urgently, forest pests control foundation was slightly better in Zoucheng than in Weishan.6. Some suggestions were put forward on prevention and control of forest pests such as: consolidating the control foundation of forest pests, improving the system of monitoring and prevention of forest pests, strengthening the work of security and quarantine of forest pests, optimizing the methods of prevention and management of forest pests, promoting social service system of forest pests and so on. |
