Research And Design Of Sweet Potato Cutter

Sweet potato is the common and important crops in daily life, it has a high nutritional value and a good effect for healthcare. As the country’s economic is developing and the people’s living standards are improving fast, there are increasing demands of potato derivatives. At the same time, the demands of potato slices mechanical works are also higher. At the current, there is a complicated structure of potato slices and cutting machine, but it is difficult to meet the needs of production and people’s lives. So, researchers should strengthen the research of potato slices machinery and constantly improve the mechanical level of potato production and the process.Sweet potato cutting machine is mainly composed of a transmission system, transverse cutting system, and longitudinal cutting system, feeding system, and positioning system. The structural design process of the potato cutting machine and the functional theory of each system are discussed in details in this study. The cutting processes of potato is completed in two steps:the first step:longitudinal cutting:cutting the potato into the up、down、right、left faces. The second step, to complete the transverse cutting of sweet potato, and to cut out both front and back plane of the sweet potato, then to push the completed sweet potato chips to complete the entire process by using the pusher machine. The features of the machine are the arranged symmetrically on both sides of the longitudinal and transverse shaft cutting system, and let the cutting force go through the two crank rocker mechanism diversions and transition movement form, to use the motor power rationally, to compact mechanical structure with a high cutting efficiency.The key of the sweet potato slices of mechanical parts for slider-crank mechanism and CAM mechanism, in view of the two institutions for the kinematics and dynamics analysis, studies the two institutions in the process of the practical work of the specific movement and stress distribution, analyses the longitudinal knife cutting and cross knife cutting work together, to ensure the normal operation of the whole system to satisfy the requirement of the normal work.
