The precision small module gear transmission device is widely used in the fields of aerospace and military. With the development of these fields, the higher precision, the smaller volume and the higher reliability for the gear transmission device are demanded. In order to meet requirements for the higher reliability, redundant technique is applied to improve the reliability of the gear transmission system.At present, dual-redundancy and multi-redundancy gear transmission technology in industrially-advanced countries has becoming more and more mature, and it is used in the fields of aerospace and military. However, in our country, research in these areas is blank. Because of the technology blockade of foreign countries, it is very necessary that dual-redundancy precision small-module gear transmission device is developed independently by ourselves in China.Aiming at the transmission scheme, structure parameter and reliability of dual-redundancy and multi-redundancy gear transmission device, the finished main works and achieved conclusions are as follows.1. Based on the function realization analysis of the dual-redundancy, three feasible transmission schemes are presented. A comparison in aspects of motion analysis, function realization of the redundancy, switching effect of the redundancy is carried out. Finally, the better transmission scheme is confirmed.2. For the higher sensitivity and the minimum equivalent moment of inertia of the input shaft, optimization model is established for optimal allocation of transmission ratio. The optimization model is solved by the complex method, according to the analysis, the results are reasonable.3. Two groups of transmission parameters of gear with small teeth difference are presented by tentative calculation, the main curves in the closed diagram of modification coefficients are plotted. In the closed diagram of modification coefficients coordinate system, a comparison between the two groups of parameters is carried out, and then the better parameters are got 4. By fault tree analysis (FTA), based on the given data, the reliabilities of dual-redundancy and non-redundancy gear transmission device are calculated. The results show that, compared with non-redundancy gear transmission device, the failure of dual-redundancy gear transmission device decrease from 0.00050007 to 0.00030061991, and the reliability increase from 0.99949993 to 0.99969938009.
