Stereolithography is the most mature and used the most widely rapid prototypingtechnology currently. But when using the deep-sea type coating curing rapid prototypingtechnology to form 0.1mm thick workpiece, the surface distortion in Z direction results inprecision lost in the Z direction, and which limites the application aero of the technology. Theresearch is mainly done in this paper. Firstly , through experiments, it is preliminarilyconsidered that the flow of liquid resin surface is possibly main factors which affect theaccuracy in Z direction. Secondly, the flow of resin surface is stdudied according to the fliudmechinics therory, and the formula of layer thichkness in the fliud boundary is derived forresin liquid surface above the workpiece. Thirdly, with ANSYS10.0 the finite elementsimulation is made on heating flow field in resin tank, stirring flow field, heating andstirring coupled flow field respectively. And obtained the flow field distribution which is sameas the results from theory and experiments research, which provides guiding project forprocess improvement. Finally, based on the simulation results and the theoretical formula, theproject of improving process is proposed to enhance the accuracy in Z direction and accuracyexperiments are performed and the results show that the accuracy in Z direction is obviouslyenhanced. After improving process the size error is controled within±0.5mm in the Zdierction ,which meets the accuracy requierment of the dive-type coating Stereolithographyprocess. This research is of propelling function for RP development and reference value foractual production.
