Research And Application Of Electrostatic Powder Coating Technology On The Panels Of The Wheel Loader

Recently the engineering machinery has been developed rapidly. However, the appearance quality of the engineering machinery has been much less other mechanical products and the coating technology is not advanced enough. In one hand, with the social development, living standards and aesthetic awareness improvement, the appearance quality of the product is attached more and more attentions of the consumer; in another hand, the product without beautiful appearance will lack of international competitiveness. So to develop the coating technology of the engineering machinery is an inevitable trend.The level of China's engineering machinery coating technology is still in an unbalanced stage. New processes, materials and management concepts are spreaded and applied slowly. Thereby,introduction of advanced coating technology, good coating materials, coating processes and management is the urgent affair to improve the quality of engineering machinery.The aim of the project is to found a higher level of automation powered coating line to achieve 40,000 sets / year production capacity of loader panels'coating. Promote the use of environmentally efficient low-cost advanced technology of powder coating and led the development of environmentally friendly coating technology of the engineering machinery industry advances.This paper mainly describes some aspects as following:Firstly, some concept of the power coating technology, some useful equipments and technic flows are introduced. Furthermore, the kinds and characters of powder, as well as the application ranges are also introduced.Secondly, the paper analyzes the current status of the powder coating industry and the application of the engineering machinery. The paper also discusses the feasibility and necessity of founding a higher level of automation powered coating line from the point of view of the national environmental policy and the related technical analysis.Thirdly, some design objects, the basal flow of coating process are established. Then select some equipment, such as, electrostatic spray machine, powder recovery system, control cabinet, automatic spray gun for the structure line and introduce the performances of these equipments.Fourthly, the paper advances a request of coating powder by the performances of different of powders and analyzes the affection causes and test methods of the powder's durability. Then, the varieties and characters of the commonly used powder are discussed in detail. Those works are all based for selecting powder.Fifthly, after analyzing the technic of engineering machinery coating, some experimental researches of sheet metals and thick construct components are conducted. Then some results and analysis of the experiments are given.Finally, a variety of causes and coating quality improvement measures which aimed at problems appeared in the experiment are summarized.
