The Han Dynasty(The West Han, The East Han) was an important period in the history of Chinese ancient architecture. Chinese traditional wooden frame building formed a mature system in the Han Dynasty. It was appeared that the independent framework was overlapped by its own structure. It had a great impact on China's after generations of the pavilion buildings and pagoda.Since there is no instances of the Han Dynasty wooden building can be investigated, the architectural funerary objects unearthed from tombs have become the only access to the architecture of the Han Dynasty. Therefore, this article is going to systematically analyze and investigate the pottery buildings around two capitals of the Han dynasty (Shaanxi and Henan province) in the Han dynasty, with a large number of pottery buildings excavated in Henan and Shaanxi provinces as research objects, and supplemented Han Dynasty brick painting, cliff-tomb, stone chamber, archaeological documentation, etc.It is going to exercise the research results, obtained from analyzing the characters and practice of the architecture of the Han dynasty pavilions, on the design of the Han dynasty architecture, farther to produce conjecture design with the features of the Han dynasty.In the research methods, firstly we are going to classify the collected data of the pottery buildings, and then conduct a detailed study on the different types, then obtain the common features for each type of building, finally exercise the features in our design correspondently.
