Study Of Terra-cotta's Application Rules On Architectural Appearance

Terra-cotta, with a long history, is the most ancient and early architectural material. It's now be used in modern cities and buildings. At some degree, it changes greatly residential environment.Terra-cotta is widely used as bricks. In our country, there are a seriary of problems in the using of terra-cotta: some faces of thousand buildings; lacking of design in appropriate using. Now the systemic study on the rules of terra-cotta is very insufficient.This pape, through the approach on the production of terra-cotta and analysis on building examples of our country and other countries, concludes of widely used, the thread of development and human's psychological conditions to terra-cotta buildings and points out the key problems in the design of terracotta, exploring the using rules of terra-cotta in buildings. I hope this paper can supply basic study and design gist in apperence building design.
