In construction and use process, some parts of the cross-bridge of the Mei Shan steel rolling mill which is one of kinds of bridges, may be damnified because of the environmental factors and material degradation. These adverse factors can not only damnify some parts of the bridge, shorten the working life of bridges infect the safety of using, but also increase some faults in working, so much as the collapse of bridges. So it is indispensable to monitor the cross-bridge. This paper is mainly the data processing and safety evaluation in health monitoring the background of cross-bridge. The main works in the paper are following:(1) The paper successes to apply the monitoring system to the technological innovation of the cross-bridge of the Mei Shan steel rolling mill of the Baosteel Group Co, at same time design the monitoring system of the cross-bridge which sustains the rolling trail.(2) Before the design, the force put on the cross-bridge is analyzed in detail, and the result is useful to the design of the monitoring system, thought of the what is to controlled during the process of steel rolling, the paper is given what is monitored and where to inspect.(3) The paper is approximately introduced the way that design the whole system and children systems, meanwhile given the construction and function of the system, which is lighten to apply the monitoring system of Mei Shan cross-bridge into practice.(4) Thought of the complicated and very bad environment, the paper is given the way to deal with the problem, put into the practices, and get good result.(5) Base on the damage detection theory and the acquired data, the paper determine the cross-bridge damage, after get the result, we got the safety of the cross-bridge.
