The Study Of Architecture Style Plays The Role In Urban Feature

The mushrooming urbanization across China has significantly changed the economy, culture and environment in cities. Unfortunately, many of the changes are negative in certain aspects. More cities are losing their identity because the architecture style has been very disorderly at both individual building level and the urban level. This study aimed to investigate how to conduct urban design in the modern city based on the typology, semiotics, local geographical, culture and history. From these studies, we expected that we could deepen the understanding of urban architectural style, find the planning measure of urban construction, and promote the development of architecture style.On the other hand, the thesis analyzed the typical architectural design in Hefei through case studies and studied the recent urban development strategy of Hefei. It also analyzed the urban planning of the city, identifying some major problems associated with architectural design of buildings. Accordingly, the thesis made a few proposal for improvement which could be applied in practice.
