With the development of road transportation, more and more tires are abandoned.These abandoned tires cause a serious influence to the environment. The pulverized coal ash is the production of the thermal power plant and the major industry boiler combustion. These pulverized coal ash takes a great serious pollution to the environment. Studies showed that putting rubber and pulverized coal ash into asphalt for modification will improve the performance of anti-impact,anti-cracking and anti-dehiscence. Therefore,the Rubber and Pulverized coal ash modified asphalt research subject has practical significance, which uses the rubber and the pulverized coal ash on the asphalt modification.This paper carried on thoroughly studies about the Rubber and Pulverized coal ash modified asphalt research subject, mainly including three aspects as follows:1.Based on the indoor material experiment,this project studied the influence of the cutting time,cutting temperature, rubber powder source,particle size of rubber, rubber powder content,pulverized coal ash content and modifier to the modified asphalt. we proposed the modified direction and the guide posts of modified asphalt focusing on Chinese present situation.Then the article obtain mixture ratio of the Rubber and Pulverized coal ash-modified asphalt through the synthesis modification.2. This article proposed a set of theory and testing methods on the performance of road stress-absorbing layer, including:taking the improved Superpave method (use VV as the primary control target) to determine the best proportion of asphalt; taking the fatigue test, low-temperature stability test and water stability test to determine the best mix gradation. The studies showed that:the typeâ…¡Mixture is best in the perfonce of fatigue,low-temperature stability and achieve water stability specifications.3.Papers which based on the small beam four-point bending fatigue test,Proposed a improved small beam four-point bending fatigue test. The improved test method presents a shorter test cycle,make more convenient and more representative of the mixture fatigue performance state under the natural limits.This research shows:the Rubber and Pulverized coal ash modified asphalt is good at the performance of fatigue,low-temperature stability and water stability.This modified asphalt is suitable for the material of Stress Absorbing Interlayer.Therefore, this kind of anti-crack band has a widespread application prospect in road construction and road maintenance in our country...
