Study On Function-level Highway Network Division At The Basis Of The Smooth And Accessibility Degree

The Highway network's basic function includes the functions of "smooth" and "accessibility", the process of the highway network satisfies its service area transportation demand, materially is the process of highway network displays its functions of smooth and accessibility. The rapid development of highway infrastructure in China has played an important role in promoting China's economic development and satisfying transportation demand. However, there are certain areas of the highway network where highway smooth and accessibility features do not match the highway network system's structure, thus causes the highway network not to be able to satisfy the demand of its service area well. This kind of situation's appearance is mainly because there are not function limits on highway network's different highway section, which is based on transportation demand during the highway network's planning time.This article starts from introducing the domestic and foreign level division methods about highway and also introduces the concepts related highway network functions. Then analysis the highway network's functions of smooth and accessibility from content, the characteristic and the measure methods. Then divides the highway network into four levels: main trunk line, sub-trunk, feeder and connecting line, and also positions functions of the four levels. Finally, selects five indicators--the technical level of the highway, straight level, the importance of the nodes covered or connected by the highway, the saturation degree of highway, uses the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to establish the level of highway based on the five indicators.This article studies the functions of smooth and accessibility about the highway network systematically, and proposes the highway network level division model based on the degree of smooth and accessibility. This article has provided reference for the layout plan, function appraisal as well as optimized theory of highway network.
