The automobile parts'assembly is the typical multi-type, multi-process and multi-material discrete manufacturing process. The randomness of the orders, uncontinuous process and flexibility of the production organization all increase the difficulty of the production management. How to use the information technology to work out the repeated work and asymmetric information is the common subject facing the traditional manufacturing. At the same time, to make the management more refined and informazational, increase the real-time and flexibility, improve the efficiency of the production line and decrease the cost and low yield are the important question facing the managers.The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a non-contact auto identification, which is paid attention by the manufacturing and applied in the shop floor management because of its short identification time, non-contact, multi-item identification, large memory and so on.The paper is based on an automobile speed changer manufacturing. The auto parts'assembly information management system is designed by the RFID. The system is integrated with ERP to track and monitor the individual item in the assembly line, which can help managers to monitor the product status in real time and realize visual and digital management.Firstly the technology of RFID is introduced, and the application of RFID in the production management and the characters of automobile parts'assembly are analyzed. The function requirement and performance requirement is researched through the product characters, production model, business process and information status. Then the general function model and information model of automobile parts'assembly production management based on RFID are set up.Secondly the key technologies are researched. The quality data collection and analysis, production monitoring, material distribution management and the integration with ERP are analyzed and researched.At last the paper is based on the QS company speed changer assembly, the program of the automobile parts'assembly production management based on RFID is put forward, and the function structure, process management and identification way are designed in detail.
