Aluminum frame of our application is used not very extensive, the research on thealuminum frame and finite element calculations are still in the exploratory stage, in this article,studied the aluminum frame.In this paper, studied aluminum semi-trailer frame development status and comparisonwith other material frame, and developed a aluminum semi-trailer frame for trailer factory.The finite element analysis on semi-trailer chassis stiffness and strength were studied, anddiscussed and summarized the improved method. Paper discussed the detailed steps of thefinite element method for the frame. The model approach, unit type's selection, welded andbolted connections have made a detailed study. Then analyzed the main working conditions ofsemi-trailers in actual. And studied the application method of corresponding load andboundary conditions, simulated the strength and stiffness of different working conditions ofsemi-trailer frame. Analyzed the maximum strain and stress that impact on the position of thesemi-trailer frame.The result of the calculation show: the stress is too high in many place. In order toreduce the maximum stress, the paper presents the improvement plan and calculationverification, the improvement method can reduce the maximum stress and maximumdeformation, provided a reference for Upgrade for the trailer frame.
