For the status of intellectual resources and knowledge resources often distributed in different places and a broad cross-discipline branch of learning in the current complex product design raising new issues, and some CE platforms based on a client/server architecture or static Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) are available in the marketplace, but they lack flexibility and reliability in the constantly changing Internet environment due to the dynamic nature of the network, the finite element analysis service based on the Service-Oriented Architecture in Concurrent Engineering and its wrapping method has been proposed and very carefully researched.Distributed finite element analysis service based on the Service-Oriented Architecture is an important part of Concurrent Engineering, and a single key technology to achieve concurrent engineering co-design. In order to wrapping finite element analysis service, this paper proposes the key methods and techniques including the underlying technical architecture-SORCER, basic wrapping procedure, data processing, interface implementation, service invoke and service coordination mechanism, the graphical user interface design, etc. At the end, we use finite element analysis service example to take a verification of the wrapping method and the SOA-based finite element analysis service's validity and practicality in concurrent engineering. The research of wrapping SOA-based finite element analysis service in Concurrent Engineering has a good reference value for wrapping tools of the the specialized fields under the SOA framework.
