With the rapid development of the information technology and growing complexity of the battlefield situation, the technology of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is getting more and more attention of the military stakeholders. How to organize the military system with the Web Service, implement the distributed collaboration or interaction between different function units, and create more powerful composite services with better Quality of Service through the combination of atomic services, are now becoming the research focuses of the novel Command Information System.Firstly, some research works on SOAin Command Information are analyzed. And the frequently used QoS Model, as well as service selection or composition methods and systems are presented. Then, the concepts and characteristics of Web Service system are also analysed. Several key technologies of Web Service are also elaborated.Sencondly, according to the criterions and features of the novel Command Information System, the QoS Model are defined, which consists of the execution time, service cost, reliability and reputation. Meanwhile, the Quality of Relation (QoR) Model is proposed to describe the effect of QoS by the relation between services. In this thesis, basic structures of process are classified as the sequence structure, parallel structure and choice structure, based on which the aggregation model of QoS and QoR are presented. In addition, the frequent service sequence mining method based on the information reasoning of historical processes is proposed, to support the prediction of QoS and QoR data.Based on above works, a new service composition method is proposed. The first step is matching service interfaces based on the semantic similarity, and generating the service link graph by linking every service. By this way, the service composition problem is equivalent to the graph searching problem, of which the feasible solution can be find out using the AO* algorithm. Aiming to ensure the QoS of composite service, service clusters are generated based on the semantic similarity for each service in Ihe process to create the abstract composite service. At last, the Genetic Algorithm is used to solve the service selection problem and find out the optimized composite service.Finally, according to the methods proposed above, a prototype system has been developed, of which the architecture and technologies are explained. And the basic functions of this system are demonstrated by a unmanned platforms assignment case. The rationality and feasibility of the methods and technologies in this thesis have been proved.
