There will be great number of dust in all link of the coal mining process, such as digging, blasting, and mining operations, roof management, coal loading and transportation. Great harm, such as: endanger human health; the Security in mine production will become a great problem because the mine dust with a risk of explosion; Visibility of workplace will be reduced if the concentration of mine dust in space to achieve higher. The problem that monitoring, control and reduction airborne dust concentration effectively is a pressing issue in today's society.The method ofβ-ray dust measurement have a great number of advantage over the gravimetric method, X-ray diffraction, optical spectroscopy method, scattered light method and piezoelectric balance law dust measurement: The mass concentration of dust can be measured by this method directly and the kinds of dust , grain size, dispersion, shape, color, luster have no effect on the process of measurement; the measurement results is equivalent to the classical standard method - weighing method; The sample processing time and the chance of contamination can be reduced by the method; The method does not generate Artificial error and no error accumulation, so the frequent calibration and zero modulation is not required ; furthermore,β-ray dust measurement method can achieve automatic continuous monitoring and the monitor sample can be retained over. In all,β-ray dust measurement method is an important measurement dust measurement technology, Researching and improving the technology is good for coal mine safety production of better social and economic benefits.Because measurement process prone to generate Artificial error if we use the detectors of dust measuring instrument to measure two pairs of membrane (measuring the blank membranes first, then measure sampling membrane), a single detector to achieve measurement of dust samples have been used and in the thesis; besides, we also optimize the dust measuring instrument source - detector system for the purpose of minimize theβ-ray source intensity; Designing to correspond to the dust sampling device, to validating the single-detector measurement scheme and the effect of dust sampling devices through the experiments.
