Thermal storage technology can cut peak to fill in the valley and alleviat the insufficient of electric power in rush hours, which makes the best of the potential of electricity generation facility in the light. As a kind of low investment and highly effective thermal storage technology,chilled-water thermal storage systems have been obtained more and more attention. In this paper, the design method of chilled-water storage system have been discussed in a actual project and its energy conservation with the general air-conditioning system have been compared. The design principle and the arrangement principle of drifts have been discussed, calculating the model and using CFD software establish the model of the stratified chilled-water thermal storage tank, Studying the performance of the stratified chilled-water thermal storage tank:the variation of export water temperature along with time in the Gathers (releases) of cold process and the temperature distribution situation in the tank. Theoretical analysis the primary factor that affect FOM is the contact surface mix and heat conduction loss Between different temperature water. Computational analysis what reduces the thermoclinicl thickness can enhance FOM. The simulation through CFD indicates that a lower outflow velocity makes a thicker thermoclinic. using CFD software establish the model of octagon and the radial direction disc , discovering that in the same situation octagon's outflow velocity is easier than radial direction disc to be balanced. Comparing outflow velocity's Uniformity among different parameter octagon through CFD simulation and checking its correctness through theoretical computation.
