With the development of science and technology, the progress of economy and society, and the level of people's living standard has improved gradually, with supplies becoming more and more rich, Consumer markets is transforming into seller's market, individuation and diversification of customers' demands appear step by step. Under this background and the basis of market present situation and the prospects of household wooden sauna, as well as the actual situation of related factory, according to the methods of modular design, this dissertation had a deep research on the products of a household wooden sauna factory, for achieving the purpose of combining the largest number of products with the least modules.Firstly, the dissertation solved the problem of the complex specification of key parts of the suana of the factory.According to the analysis of drawings of household sauna in this factory, and products'dimensions, the author found that the similar or same functions parts also have complex specification. Facing this reality, the author put forward the view of standardizing before modularizing, and saw the parts of sauna as object and centralized the specification of them as possible without affecting the normal functions of them. At last, the factory increased the production volume, improved the productivity and the costs of production reduced.Secondly, the dissertation aims at interchangeability and commonality of back boards, right boards, left boards, front boards, door panels, seats, etc. between different accommodation, regular and irregular shape of sauna. Meanwhile, reduced the number of parts of sauna, enriched the ranging of products. The author succeeded in applying the methods of modular design in household wooden sauna. In addition, improved the structure of top boards and bottom boards, from monolithic structure into combinatorial structure, such as Top/Bottom board = basic module + decorative module, which lead to simplifying the manufacture of top and bottom board, increasing the productivity, also making the management of inventory easily. Meanwhile, new top/bottom boards can be combined by changing the decorative modules, it improves the speed of factory that react to the market changes. Finally, the author assembled new products by using modules in order to show household wooden sauna can be successfully designed under the methods of modular design.
