Pavement preventive maintenance emphasizes choosing the right preventive maintenance treatments for the pavement to maintain the pavement at good condition, ensuring the ride quality and prolonging the pavement life, while structural capability of the pavement is sufficient and there is no structural distress. The key of preventive maintenance is to select right treatment in the right time for the right pavement according to its condition.There is no complete solution and standatrds the selecting of preventive maintenance treatments, while most of the judgement is made by experts depend on their subjective experience. This situation has affected the promotion of pavement preventive maintenance in the application of practical project. A software was programmed to release based on the study aimed at the selecting of preventive maintenance treatments.First of all, the system of evaluation index of preventive maintenance was summarized. On this basis, combining with a large number of engineering experiences, a variety of preventive maintenance treatments were introduced, which includes the technology and effect. Pavement distress types for selecting candidate for preventive maintenance was were proposed. According to the application of different treatments, the criterions for judging whether the pavement distress type is appropriate for applying preventive maintenance were concluded.Secondly, based on the data processing and analysis for pavement performance of PPM test road section, the paper analyzed the deterioration condition of asphalt pavement performance, summarized the conclusion of existing research, combine with exponential regression equation, choosing the Markov prediction model to predict the pavement condition index. Excel table was used as a tool to establish the prediction model, achieving its function.Finally, using C # language, a program was programmed to select preventive maintenance treatments on the current pavement conditions. The program include two aspects basic functions: judging whether the pavement disease situation is appropriate to carry out preventive maintenance; According to the calculation method of pavement condition index (PCI) and counting the pavement disease situation to select preventive maintenance treatments. The program combined with the definition of the disease species according to the calculation of PCI, and relying on the existing research conclusion, disease density level, the pavement disease situation was characterized quantitatively. According to calculate the score between different preventive treatments base on the pavement disease situation, guidance was provided for selecting preventive treatment. Through the interpretation of the program results, compare with actual project experience; prove that this program can reflect the advantages and disadvantages between different treatments accurately.
