As the continuous improvement of living standards, more and more cars appear in the daily life and production, and the same time People are more concerned about the car's performance and security. But car itself is a complex system, with the increase in mileage and the extension of using time, the state of the vehicle may continue to deteriorate and need for regular testing. Chassis Dynamometer is a non-disintegration test vehicle performance testing equipment, through the simulation of various roads in the resistance of car, it makes the car road test project to move indoors, and it reduces the impact of outdoor environment affect on the test. It could improve the environment of tester very well and improve the precision.This paper discusses the chassis dynamometer basic structure and working principle firstly, Revealed some problems of the chassis dynamometer system, such as nonlinear, large time delay, time-varying and uncertain mathematical model. And if you using traditional control strategies, for example the linear PID control, it will be difficult to achieve the desired effect. So it is necessary to adopt an better technology to complete the precise control and measurement. At the same time, Fuzzy control theory started late in domestic and still in the development of mature stage, in design and implementation aspect of existing fuzzy-controller, there are not certain and not uniform, need to be improved and to explore continue. In this paper, we widely used industrial control technology of fuzzy, analyze the mathematical basis of fuzzy control,Fuzzy control theory and specific control technology such as fuzzy-PID control technology. And on this basis, combined with the actual project vehicle chassis dynamometer systems, we design and implement the fuzzy-PID controller solution. At last, by experiments, we compare with conventional PID control technology and other fuzzy- controller, it showed that the design of system is reasonable, and it is excellent than conventional PID control, compared with other fuzzy-controller, there are also some improvement in some performance indicators.
