The ground fracture has become one of the leading urban geologic hazards recent years in Xi'an. Due to the activity of ground fissure, there have been destroyed badly to the urban building, created the great influence to the urban integrated planning, and given rise to the urban sustainable development under the background of the accelerating urbanization.The differential ground settlements do big harm to the safety of the building for the ground fractures, the historical resources suggest that the buildings in the affected zone of the ground fracture will make the local member destroyed, then the whole building inclined and even collapsed, It treats the normal service of building and the security of people'life and property.To decrease and prevent the building destroy due to the ground fracture, Specification for site investigation and engineering design on Xi'an ground fractures> (DBJ61--6—2006, J 10821-2006) has been drew up by Shaanxi province. It propose to adopt engineering let by method, the reasonableness of the minimal secure distance still have to be validated, So, it is of significance to analyze the safety of the structure in the effected zone of the ground fracture.According to the future 50a subsidence curve of the existing ground fracture, we have built lots of frame construction models of the differential height with the SAP2000finite element analysis software, and compared and analyzed the redistribution of internal forces of the frame via the change of the distance, meanwhile, we also have considered the influence of the fill wall to the structure and properties, and are exploring the feasibility of the decreased distance of the minimal effected zone of the ground fracture defined in the Specification.
