The ground fracture in Xi'an is a special of urban geologic hazard. The differential ground settlements do big harm to the safety of the building for the ground fractures, the historical resources suggest that the buildings in the affected zone of the ground fracture will make the local member destroyed, then the whole building inclined and even collapsed, It treats the normal service of building and the security of people'life and property.For provent building destroy due to the ground fracture, Specification for site investigation and engineering design on Xi'an ground fractures (DBJ61--6-2006), has been drew up by Shanxi province. It propose to adopt let by method, the reasonableness of the minimal secure distance still have dispute. So, it has important sense to have right known on the harm of building because of differential settlement and deeply analyse safety feature of structure in the influence area of ground fracture.Using the ANSYS finite element software, establish a high-level concrete double shear wall calculation model of practical engineering background significance; Using linear elastic finite element method, analysis the double shear wall in different secure distance, the influence of the differential ground settlements to the wall of deformation and internal force; Though analysing structure deformation, ay of wall,σx andτxy of the beam, analyse the safety performance of the shear wall and discuss the possible of reducing required secure distance on the shear wall.
