The nation has already put forward the important target of energy saving and emission reducing in the iron and steel industry. The efficient recovery and use of low-temperature waste heat has been the breakthrough in further energy-saving iron and steel production. However, because of the existing sintering waste heat power generation system restricted by craftwork and technology, the problems that the waste heat resource recovery rate is low and the electricity output is poor are still exist.Taking sintering waste heat generation system of Jinan Iron and Steel Group Company as the research object, dual pressure system has been calculated based on two methods including energy-balance and exergy-balance. The calculation indicates that exergy efficiency can be improved by reducing the exergy loss of outlet gas and internal heat transfer in heat recovery steam generator (HRSG). Thermal calculation and parameters optimization model of dual-pressure power generation system are established. Single-pressure, dual-pressure and flash system with different configuration are calculated and comparative analyzed by writing program among the three kinds thermal systems. The law of net power output and other indexes changing with the main steam pressure is shown. According to steps utilization theory, a new technology on subsection recovery and steps utilize the exhaust gas waste heat is developed. The calculative results indicate that compared with Jinan Iron and Steel original system, data of tri-inlet and dual-pressure power generation system are raised 4.8% of waste heat utilization rate as well as power output 2.2MW.The results indicate that the dual-pressure power generation system equipped with condensing water heater and supplied with saturated steam is the first choice of existing sintering waste heat generation technology. The results can provide reference for the development and application of new scheme sintering waste heat high-efficient recovery for power generation.
