The Research On Residential Environment Design Of Suburbs Surrounding Metropolis

The 16th conference of the fifth Plenary Session of the People's Republic of China proposed that the construction of "new socialist countryside" is a major historic task in the process of China's modernization. The concept of "new socialist countryside" as early as 50 years in the last century, had raised. In earlier 80s of last century, China put forward the concept of "well-off society", in which building new socialist countryside is a key part of well-off society. The fifth Plenary Session proposed the construction of "new socialist countryside", is a new starting point for integrated rural transformation under the guidance of brand-new concept in the new historical context. After 30 years of economic development and great progress of material civilization and spiritual civilization, China will inevitably bring about growth of material needs and spiritual needs. This can be seen in the theory of human value system from the United States social psychologists, personality theorists and comparative psychologists, humanistic psychologist and theorist Abraham Maslow. Civilizing and living environment for residents raised a higher-level requirements include environmental aesthetics, visual pleasure, emotional belonging and attachment, colorful living life, neighborhood harmony and respect for each other, etc., which are also works of environmental designers to be thought-provoking. Previously we do not have the economic strength, nor the ability to expect or demand for this high-level satisfaction. But the economic construction and the economic development of small cities and towns nowadays, as residents living in a small town hope that they can, like people who are in big cities, enjoy the rich fruits of modern civilization. In the context of such a great demand, it is necessary for an in-depth study into this particular design of the living environment.In such a background, this article is based on a detailed investigation and analysis of typical examples of small towns (Anlu town in Hubei Province, for example), comparing of development of cities and settlements abroad, analyzes the model, put forward some feasible solutions to the problem and provide guidance on research results. These achievements include:advocates integration on the issue of internal and external environment of building construction, increase the transitional space of building and outside space, promote energy saving and water conservation, improve flexibility design of residential buildings to meet people'needs of small cities and towns to meet needs of residents'inter-generational relations and the spiritual sense of belonging in small cities and towns to establish neighborhood spaceship. The present research will bring the concept of organizing groups to the environment design of small urban settlements. The present research seeks to combine the actual situation of small town, drawing on residential design of big city settlement, to make the rational design of small urban settlements for more environment-friendly, comfort, and be in line with sustainable development.
