In important distribution power system for station, in order to keep power supplying incessantly, it is regular to equip two powers: primary power and spare power. It is clear that the transferring between the powers becomes where the shoes pinches. The conventional spare power automation transfer device which can transfer successfully in usual occasion can not transfer successfully when the loads are induction-motors. In order to resolve the problem, the theory analysis and practical design are studied, I develop a microprocessor-based plant-power fast transfer device.All the design on device is on base of advanced software and hardware platform. The CPU has adopted Texas Instruments digital signal processor. The software platform supports a process system of many tasks. On the basis of analysing extant problem, the thesis has proposed that the switch result will be perfect if we adopt new switch mode which includes high-speed transfer, synchronization capture transfer and slow transfer. The corresponding theoretic transfer criterions are provided in the article. According to the locale requirement, the blue print has designed various kinds of functions that the device should have. Then, according to the functions that the equipment should realize, the device mainly recurs to the TPM series product. The choosing principle for the hardware is confirmed on the whole. Assembler language and C language are carefully designed. The arithmetic adopted in program is suitable for the requirement of speediness and accuracy. The software modules include manual transfer module, accident transfer module, abnormal transfer module, and low voltage removing load module. All these have powerfully ensured that the device can reliably operate. The study and design for the device will play an important role in plant-power transfer.
