Pressuremeter test is a in situ test method which is impose uniform horizontal stress on the borehole wall by using the instrument of pressuremeter test so that the soil of the borehole wall occurred lateral deformation until the destruction. The mechanical model is generally regarded as axisymmetric plane strain problem. The results be illustrated by the relationship of the pressure and volume changes in lateral pressure curves. The relevant soil mechanics and engineering properties can be obtained through the lateral pressure curves.Combined the careful studying on the theoretical and experimental research on pressuremeter test with pressuremeter test of Xi'an subway, this article has been analyzed the feature and indicators of P-V curves from pressuremeter test on loess foundation. The shear strength parameters, static lateral pressure coefficient, deformation modulus, coefficient of subgrade level of the mechanical and foundation bearing capacity and engineering properties of indicators have been calculated from the pressuremeter test curves and have been compared with other experimental and theoretical analysis of the corresponding indexes. The relevant conclusions have been obtained. The research of this article have a great value on the further promotion and application of pressuremeter test on loess foundation.
