Research On The Landscape Design Of Office Building's Atrium Space

In the past few years, compared to other building forms, office building face the most challenge and have made the most dramatic change in terms of architectural form. With the development of economic globalization, new communication technology, eco-environmental concern, building code and construction standard as well as staff using office building make new demands on office building design. Nowadays, people have less time and space to meet nature because of busy work in urban life. A great many design projects are not appropriate for urban dwellers, so the design of office building and its environment needs to be changed. This paper scientifically applies the element of nature into the design of office building's atrium space by introducing landscape design, which not only provides a comfortable and natural office space, reduces energy consumption and improves atrium space's quality for users, but also delivers more human care, better the relationship between human, architecture and nature.In this paper, firstly, we briefly explain the related concepts of landscape design of office building's atrium space, analyze its development state and current situation and illustrate the necessity of its development. Secondly, feasibility and sufficiency may be evaluated by analyzing both the related theory and function. Next, we make a concrete analysis of the characteristics of research object, which are office building's atrium space and its landscape materials. Furthermore, we propose design strategy to solve the problem. At last, we make an analysis by way of exemplification.The landscape design of office building's atrium space is the outcome in the 21 century. Even though the office en-vironment it builds cannot completely replace the nature, it may meet the requirements materially and psychologically. Looking forward to the future, landscape design would be not only a main force for future office building's atrium space, but a new force for other interior space design in the near future.
