The atrium has a long history, considering the long process from the central courtyard of the ancient Roman era to the full sense of the atrium created by Portman, then to the complex atrium all over the world’s major public buildings. As the most dynamic commercial complex space,it is the indoor organic extension of the urban shared space.Influencing by the nowadays urban community becoming three-dimensional,the gap between indoor space and shared surrounding is removed and they existed in the same container of the practical environment.Besides,it faces an energy consuming problem because of its transparent formation in the commercial buildings. Therefore,we should pay more attention to it avoiding unnecessary energy consuming. My paper has three parts.Firstly,I depict the conception and the development of commercial synthesized center atrium, and then analyze it,pointing the key parts in nowadays national commercial synthesized center atrium design.Secondly,I give an analysis on in from the aspects of costumers, city planning and energy saving.Thirdly, combining the work above,I will show my strategy and designing ways.At Chapter 4,I research the problem in various directions, such as space shape, internal routine, protected construction, physical environment and sustainable using. At Chapter 5,I provide a specific introduction of cultural landscape design and try to find the principle of atrium landscape designing ways in order to provide a comfortable shopping condition. In all the work,my state’s order is logical and the evidence is enough. They strongly support my paper. At the ending,I give the commercial atrium space a short summarizing and pointing its shortages, and then try to predict its future development for giving some theoretical reference for later works.
