| As one of efficient measures, bus priority can relieve urban traffic congestion. It mainly involves the distribution of priority in intersection, section and bus station. In order to analyze the setting of bus priority at signalized intersections, this paper focuses on the partial indented bus priority approach. In additon, this paper emphatically analyzes the spatial arrangement, signal settings and benefit evaluation, which constitutes the framework of the paper system.In the space setting of bus exclusive approach, the paper introduces the setting conditions of partial indented bus priority approach, and the dock rules in bus advanced area. The paper analyzes the setting method for pre-signal stop line of non-horizontal type and its calculation model, gives a model of the distance between main signal and pre-signal stop line. It also does a systematic analysis about the different setting methods and its features of bus exclusive approach in the different bus lanes.In the part of signals setting, the paper analyzes the working principle of straight bus exclusive approach occupied left turn lane, and the superposition phase setting method after partial indented bus priority approach setting. It also analyzes the setting of main signal timing, pre-signal timing, the red pre-signal light ahead of light time and the green pre-signal light ahead of light time when pre-signal stop line in non-horizontal type setting.In the benefit evaluation part, by using contrastive analysis and adjusting the social vehicles leave curve which improves the existing models, the paper analyzes the delay changes when the bus priority approach occupied same flow lane, and builds the model to analysis delay changes when bus exclusive approach of straight occupied left turn lane. At the end, there gives an example and analyzes it. The following are the conclusions of the example. After the bus priority approach occupied same flow lane, various kinds of bus delays were significantly reduced, the social range of vehicles were increased a little, and the total delay were reduced in the entrance lane. After the exclusive approach of straight occupied left turn lane, the various kinds of bus delays were significantly reduced, and the delays of the social vehicles were at the same, and the total delays in entrance lane were significantly reduced. |
