Based on the present light screens measurement technology, a novel laser screens method for velocity measurement which is improved and studied were summarized. The measuring laser screens was realized by the line-shape laser generator and high reflectivity mirror and the receiver composed by the PIN photodiode. This thesis investigated the structure of screens and the electric circuit.The principle of operation and system structure of the laser screens with receiving-transmitting integrated were introduced in this thesis. The density distribution in laser screen was theoretically analyzed. The influencing factors of sensitivity was studied deeply for the laser screens with receiving-transmitting integrated. The receiver circuits which composed of some PIN photodiode, Opto-electronic transform circuit, preamplifier circuit, processing circuit.In order to verify the designing scheme, the critical technology in the developing of light screens was studied and the model 334 mm×400 mm light screens was designed and made. The signal waveforms of air gun projectile passing are measured by the laser screen system. The typical sampled waveforms and measured data were given, and indicates the system the main operation parameters met the design requirements. The experiment result indicates that the optical design was reasonable and feasible to realize initial velocity measurements of various projectiles.
