There are three popular design methods and theory: Systematic Approach of Pahl and Beitz (SAPB), Axiomatic Design (AD) and Teorijz Rezhenija Izobretatel'skich Zadach (TRIZ). The purpose of this paper is combining them organically and forming a new integrated design method which possesses the advantages of the three methods and theory. Therefor, this paper carries on the following works: Firstly, researches thoroughly on the theories and the applications of these three design methods and theory, summarizes the advantages and shortages of them; Secondly, base on the above studies, sums up the same factors of them, scope of application and junction points which can integrate three methods and theory into a new method; Finally, considering the advantages and shortages of them, use the functions, principles, design parameters, coupling and contradiction as the junction points, integrate the AD and TRIZ into the conceptual design phase of SAPB. At last, generate a new design method. The paper uses an example to introduce the procedure and related tables of the new design method, the result shows that the new method can play their respective advantages and highly improve the design efficiency. In order to improve the design efficiency further, base on the new design method, this paper use Visual Basic 6.0 develop a computer aided design software. This software can assist the designers adjust the design matrix accurately and efficiently, guide the designers define the contradictions of design and show the engineering cases corresponding to the principles of TRIZ. The paper shows how to use the software to solve an engineering problem, in practice, the software can help designers use AD and TRIZ to solve design problem efficiently.
