The Research Of The Protection And Utilization About The Old Campus In The Development

As enrollment continues to expand, a large numbers of universities are building new campuses, at the same time some old campuses have fallen into difficulties, some have been in disrepair for many years, some have reached the limit of development, some have been used for commercial development and some have been the edge of development. The old campus as source of university, whether its tangible value or intangible value of History Humanities, indicate that old campus must be protected and utilized.This article first introduces the research background, research significance and promotional value, research status, the main research contents and methods. The second section provides a brief overview of the development of universities in western countries and in China. The third section proposes the concept of old campus in China and analyzes its function, status quo, advantages, value, the psychological and behavioral characteristics of university students, the future development of higher education that have proved the old campus must be protected and utilized. The fourth section analyzes the campus entrance space, building complex, single building. The fifth section proposes the concept of protection and utilization and the art design has been applied to protection and utilization of old campus. In the analysis of the status quo of the old campus, schemes of the protection and utilization have been proposed for the single building, interior space, teaching facilities and equipments, building complex. Some suggestions have been proposed for the future development of old campus and the parallel development of new and old campuses. The sixth section based on the analysis of some examples about protection and utilization of old campuses at home and abroad, especially analyzing some old campuses in Jinan. In the end, all previous research results have been applied to it. One of the innovations is from a broader perspective to research protection and utilization of old campus, and the art design has been used to it. Based on the analysis of some examples about interior space of Academic Building, some suggestions have been advised for protection and utilization of old campus. In addition, the concept of "transplantation" has been proposed for the parallel development of new and old campuses. In order to make the historic context to be passed, the new campus can transplant the architecture and landscape of old campus. Another innovation is that theory has combined with practice in this subject study, based on the learning each other's experience about protection and utilization of old campus, analyzing some old campuses in Jinan, combining the history, school motto, school spirit, style of study, school song, school-running concept, characteristic, some schemes of protection and utilization have been proposed for it.I hope that systematic research about the protection and utilization of old campus can make more and more people to pay attention to its fate, and make the old campus historic context to be passed and can service for teachers, students and society. In addition, the old campus is surrounded by emotions of teachers and students. We protect the old campus, at the same time we also protect people's emotions.
