Research On The Landscape Design Along The Railway

Since China implemented the reform and opening-up policy for 30 years, the railway construction developed swiftly in China. China's future railway system just like a spider web, the existing railway will be extended and alteration works will follw, all these works and activities will deeply influence on the ecological environment around the railway line.With people's environmental awareness and aesthetic value improved gradually, and on the bachgroud of government vigorously advocated urban landscaping, the environment problems resulted from railway construction attracted people's attention, meanwhile, people raised high demands for railway environment construction.Because of various factors constricted for a long time, there have no systematic theory and regulations for landscape environment construction along the railway in China. Therefore, it is very imperative to conduct this research that systematically research on the landscape along the railway line.This paper comprehensively utilized the related theory of ecology, transportation, environment protection, aesthetics and landscape greening, and used the research methods of investigation and analysis,comprehensively analyzed the reference books, deduction and induction.Landscape ecology as foothold,and landscape designing as academic support, combined with the railway environment characteristics of uniqueness, diversity, regional, complexity, etc together, study and explore the railway landscape systematically.According to the research results of urban road landscape, expressway landscape and urban environment landscape design, and summarized the detailed contents of railway landscape design from the aspect of landscape resource protection, landscape greening and ecological rehabilitation, and landscape aesthetics, respectively, which involved in the application of landscape resource evaluation, railway landscape greening and ecological rehabilitaion, and aesthetics, and the combination of landscape resource along the railway line, which provide a resonable and feasible theoritical reference for railway landscape design.Based on predecessor's research achivements, railway landscape combined with engineering, aesthetics and ecology together, and mainly focused on the innovation of research and exporation along the railway landscape, and go to great length to find aninnovated way of railway landscape design. Through analyzed the railway landscape design project between Chengdu and Dujiangyan, which provided some practical and feasible landscape design methods, and summarized the relationship between dream and realiy of railway landscape design.Conclusion:The fact of railway landscape design is a process of solve and balance the differentiation among various factors. In the new period, the railway construction will not only stay in the single transportation function, but also pursuit more comprehensive social benefits, and integrate the function, spirit, culture and history together. Railway construction and ecological rehabilitation, landscape aesthetics and landscape resources around railway line combined together, it is an imperative trend that make the railway line become a safety, effictive, beautiful green and ecological corridor. This paper will provide a theoritical reference of methods and application for railway landscape design and further research.
