DSG is one of the most advanced automobile transmission gearboxes in the world. The deeply researching on DSG is significant in the aspect of enhancing the independently develop ability for automatic transmission. Taking the 6-speed DSG as the research object, this paper developed a CAD software for rapid design, modeling, assembly and data management based on the Pro/E software platform and by using of the technologies such as VC++, Pro/Toolkit and database management.The main points of the paper are as follows:(1) The user's needs for the software were analyzed first. The system construction was established and the functional modules were divided. The studies were given also on the application of database technology in the software development and how to use ADO technology to operate the database.(2) Based on analysis in working principle and structure of 6-speed DSG, the calculation method for the transmission scheme design was studied and the software development was discussed for using VC++6.0 to realize the program design process.(3) Based on study in several key technologies about Pro/E software's redevelopment, a software module was developed for parts'parametric modeling of 6-speed DSG.(4) By using the functions and variables provided by MFC and Pro/Toolkit, the assembling automation model of DSG was studied based on the database. An automatic assembly method was proposed based on skeleton and restraint.(5) The interface of the software was designed by combining the features of Pro/Toolkit with MFC. The loading of user-defined menus was realized and software's integration was completed.The research results in the paper would be significant for the localization of DSG technology. The software developed would have good application prospects in the enterprises of automobile transmission gearboxes.
