Transmission conductors form an asymmetric circular section after being covered with ice in winter and may induce galloping under the action of continuous wind.When the transmission line galloping occurs,it may cause the interphase flashover,the trip out of power,the damage of the wire,the damage of the fittings and the collapse of the tower and so on,which seriously affects the safe operation of the transmission system.The numerical simulation method has the advantages of high efficiency and low cost.It has become an important research method to use numerical methods to simulate and study the galloping of transmission lines.The development of a dynamic simulation platform for the galloping,the establishment of the finite element model of the transmission tower line system,the simulation of the line dancing process,the study of the characteristics of the dancing and the evaluation of the safety of the line have extremely important practical values.In this paper,the structural characteristics of the tower,wire,ground wire,interior spacer and insulator string are analyzed in detail,and the characteristic parameters of the components are described,and the parameterized modeling method based on the database is studied,as well as the implementation method of the formation and assembly of the component,the connection relationship and the definition of the boundary conditions,load application,unit selection and meshing,material attribute assigning and so on.Secondly,based on the characteristic parameters of the structural components of the transmission line,the data structure of the component is designed,the design method of the component database is studied,the database of the various components of the transmission line,the material database,the wind field database and the aerodynamic coefficient database of the iced conductor are set up to provide the necessary data for the parameterized modeling.Furthermore,based on the ABAQUS software GUI graphical interface tool and its redevelopment functions,the software platform of transmission line galloping simulation software is developed by using the object-oriented Python program language.The software platform can realize the model generation,automatic assembly,connection definition,load application and grid division etc of transmission line tower line architecture components.The software can carry out static analysis,modal analysis,and galloping simulation under the action of stable wind or random wind,and analyze the characteristics of the galloping response,it can also export the result data to Word documents and Excel tables according to the requirements,such as component information,load information and connection relationship of tower line system,the displacement time history and motion trajectory of typical points,spectrum data and so on.Finally,using the developed software platform,parametric modeling of two actual transmission lines was performed,and the simulation of the galloping process under specific ice and wind loads was performed.The example analysis results show that the developed simulation platform can quickly realize the finite element modeling.The simulation result of the galloping is close to the actual field measurement result,which verifies the correctness and reliability of the software.The developed transmission line galloping simulation platform has been realized the rapid modeling of transmission lines,and can simulate the galloping of transmission lines under various parameter conditions.It has an extremely important application value for the analysis of the performance of the transmission lines and the rapid assessment of the security.
