Study On The Development Of Old People's Outdoor Leisure Places In Xi'an Residential Area

The cities is suffering the striking of the aging while the 21st centrury comes. the aging brings challenge to the society. To weather the rapid development of urban aging,it is necessary to care about the leisure activities outside of the family life. the outdoor leisure places act as supporter to serve old people. It is meaningful to have a study on them.Some survey have been conducted on outdoor leisure spaces in special residential areas.They present different looks from different times. With the development of society, they change which are also limited by the construction enviroment of the corresponding times. According to the social development and changes of living style, the existed outdoor leisure places clash with the need of old people.This paper is based on the survey which is about the outdoor leisure places and the activities in the special residential areas. The special residential areas were builded after foundation of New China in different periods.The paper analyzes the building background and current situation and design features of the outdoor leisure places. Besides, it studies on the relationship between elements of the residential areas and the places from the view of substance. At the same time, it studies on the contents and features of the various behavior of the old people in these places. Through the comparison of development of outdoor leisure places for old people in xi'an city, the author try to find the developing rules of residential areas and design methods. And wish to provide the suggestions and views for the building of the outdoor leisure places in xi'an city from now on.
