This paper as the research on dwelling of the Nomad Settlements of Tibetan in Sichuan, is part of the research on the planning of Gaucho's settlements in Sichuan carried out by government. The paper consists of five parts as follows:First of all, this part gives an explanation to the basic concepts and configuration of inhabitation morphology, and then sum up the influence factor of the inhabitation morphology by natural environment and cultural society; Summarize the correlation theory of inhabitation morphology such as the Human settlement, Housing and Living Science and Typology, pointing out the guidance meaning of them to the inhabitation morphology of nomad. Next, which is the research about the general situation of nomad in Sichuan. This part analyses the natural environment and cultural society of Sichuan Tibetan, generalize the two factors that influence inhabitation morphology. Thirdly this part analyze there are two inhabitation morphology of nomad in Sichuan Tibetan. Meanwhile, it describes vividly the characteristic of this two inhabitation morphology by selecting dwelling place, plane morphology and solid morphology. And this paper analyses the tradition nomad inhabitation morphology from excellent and inferior. Fourthly, the part is the typical case research about Gaucho's settlements. In this chapter, I analyze four places nomad settlement layout by natural environment, plane and dimensional design. Then generalize the strategy of the new pattern nomad inhabitation morphology. Finally, in this part, I compare the tradition inhabitation morphology with the new pattern, then elicit the research harvest and propose the thinking and suggestion.
