The business of road passenger transport based (RPTB) express has become a key sub-business of road passenger transport companies. To find the problems, understand the preferences of the clients on the RPTB expresses, and strengthen its competitiveness, questionnaire survey is first implemented on the clients, and their valuating degrees on the factors of the expresses are analyzed. Then, model for the choice behaviors analysis of the clients is constructed, and choice behaviors and sensitivities of the clients on the office density of the RPTB express are analyzed. In the last section, suggestion of integrating the resources of RPTB express liners and start/end stops of urban bus lines is provided, which may enlarge the market share of the RPTB express. But by analyzing the geographical distribution of start/end stops, most of start/end stops are distributed in zones with dense trips and are intensively distributed. Therefore, the paper uses GIS to make 1km buffer of start/end stops. And some start/end stops are deleted to avoid high repetition rate of buffers. Ultimately, the paper uses the Thiessen polygon to assign start/end stops to every zone to make sure which start/end stop is responsible for the zone.Meanwhile, Road Passenger Transport based Express (RPTB) also faces another question——irect delivery mode. The direct delivery restricts the capacity and structure of its transport network. In order to enhance the network capacity, improve network structure and strengthen the advantage of timeliness of the road passenger transport, this paper proposes the idea of transfer delivery. Based on the idea, the paper optimizes the delivery of the RPTB express with the aim of minimizing the transport time. Since the optimization model is a transport design problem with a time window, and also existing the sequence of sending expresses, the traditional algorithm is difficult to solve. Thus, a VB program is used to solve the model. Numerical examples indicate that the optimized delivery plan can save time and enhance the capacity of the RPTB express. And it is more reasonable to send expresses according to PRI.
