A Study On The Space Morphology Of Chongqing Master City

With the rapid development of China's economic and the accelerated process of urbanization, the urban land has been expanding and amplified. The associated urban patterns are also increasingly changing. Reasonable expansion of the city can promote the prosperity and progress of society, otherwise, it is not only a waste of valuable land resources but also a produce of ecological deterioration, such as increasing environmental pollution, traffic congestion and other issues, it becomes a threat on social harmony and sustainable development. Study on urban space morphology which is the most important components of huge system of a city and the important research direction of urban geography and urban planning, has a certain theoretical and practical significance. At the same time, the widely recognized geographic information systems and remote sensing technology has become an essential technique of urban space morphology.Therefore, this article gives a brief review on the theory and research methods at home and abroad in order. Through actual survey and a variety of collected information, the author uses many methods such as selected literature review, outdoor research and laboratory analysis, and the combination of quantitative and qualitative to analyze the study area of Chong-qing master city. Based on the analyzed of the profiles evolution of urban space morphology, the characteristics of urban space expansion, the evolution characteristics of urban space morphology, and the impact of urban space morphology, the author proposes the measures sustainable development of urban space morphology, which suggested to be a guidance on urban space morphology decision-making.This article is divided into Nine parts.The first three parts is main described the background, the research meaning and content, the research methods, as well as the review theoretical of domestic and western urban space morphology. The fourth part introduced the natural and socio-economic of research area. The fifth, sixth and seventh part is the core of the full text. Based on interpretation of remote sensing data, the author uses the methods of literature review and the method of combining qualitative and quantitative study to analyze the history of the evolution, the evolution of features, and produce the reasons for this evolution of urban space morphology on Chong-qing master city as the research object. In article VIII of the part,the author put forward the measures and suggestions on the sustainable of Chong-qing master city. The summarizes of last part is the main results of this study and conclusions.
