The star simulator is a kind of device which can simulate star sky on the ground . and the self-test star is a detect device imaging the sky area simulated by the static star simulator, identifying stars observed, at the same time, locating and outputting the location of star points in the view field. It can be used to test the quality of the optical system of star simulator and the optical receiver, in order to provide a guarantee for star tracking and attitude measurement of the star sensor. This paper discusses the composition, overall structure and basic functions of self-test star for static star simulator, analysis detailedly how to determine the optical system's parameters of self-test star for static star simulator and method of evaluation in image quality, raises a design of optical system based on initial PETZVAL refraction structure according to the requirement of specifications, pays a emphasis on meeting the image quality's requirement such as solid-circled uniform diffused spots for all filed of view in image plan, energy concentration, lateral chromatic aberration and so on. It also provides the offset of geometric center and energy center caused by imaging in wide spectrum, which is one of the error sources for system measurement. In the end, it carrys out a tolerance analysis of optical system, and gives the special requirement for glass material and accessory to process.
