Study In River Transport Between The Chinese Northeastern Key Cities (Shenyang And Fushun)

The problem of city traffic has been a puzzle for both the developing countries and the developed countries since this century. Since the 80s, the economic trades of our city and social activities have been busy increasingly; the traditional means of road transportation has unable to adapt to the need of the modern society. At present, our urban traffic problem, especially in big cities, is extremely serious, which if can't be solved effectively, will pose a serious threat to the continued rapid development of our country's economy. As our country's traditional urban pattern is broken gradually, many metropolitan centers are evolving. Improving the public traffic condition has already become the requirement that city function and space extends and a group of development of city. Combining the Bohai Sea development strategy of Liaoning Province and recent municipal plans of Shenyang City, the intercity traffic (Shenyang–Fushun) has put forward new requirements to the means of transportation. River transport is a transportation way that should be developed. Through the contrast study between the special climate and the traffic condition of the Northeast, we can introduce the river transportation which is used commonly in northeast China. The transportation means design should combines the features of the river and climate characteristics of the Northeast and proceeds on the basis of a large number of investigations and studies. I will design a kind of common means of transportation. It can transport personnel and goods safely under the circumstances that winter froze the river, as well as every condition of water and land in the Northeast, and I designed three plans to meet this requirement. I propose using river as the intercity transportation and the channel of sightseeing. It will reduce the transport cost, thereby drive peripheral economic development and promote the regional economic prosperity.
