In modern industrial production process, temperature is an important parameter that will directly impact on the efficiency and quality of production. So people have paid more attention to the technology for real-time monitoring of temperature. With the infrared temperature measurement technology, embedded technology and wireless communication technology getting more sophisticated, techniques for measuring temperature get new opportunities for advanced development. Based on the real-time and multiple-point requirement in wireless temperature measurement project, this paper makes a detailed study of the existing infrared temperature measurement technology and wireless communication technology, and designs a wireless temperature monitoring system.This paper combines infrared temperature measurement technology with wireless communications technology, and designs a wireless-enabled infrared thermometer. Because of the wireless and replicability.of the system, this paper uses TDMA method to build a wireless temperature monitoring network that based on star-topology. Specific studies are as follows:Firstly, by researching on the infrared temperature measurement theory, determines to use the two-color infrared temperature measurement method, and according to the development condition of wireless communication technology, considering the cost and practicality,determines to use nRF401 chip produced by NORDIC company as the core of the wireless communication module. By designing of PIC16F876 single-chip system, makes the temperature acquisition module and wireless communication module combine effectively, then complete a infrared temperature mesurement system with wireless communication fuction. Secondly, by using PC+MCU as the control center, builds a wireless network to monitor the temperature based on TDMA technology and star topology. Finally, this paper designs the communication protocol used in this system, designs the management software program of the system in the Visual Basic 6.0 environment to achieve the on-line display of the results and uses the database technology to realize the data management of the system.Through a single-point of communication experiment, confirms that the system with high anti-interference, low error rate and a strong real-time, will meet the needs of real-time monitoring of temperature.
