The exterior overheating fault of electrical equipments refers to bad connections or other reasons. The contact resistance increases due to the bad connections, the temperature goes up while heavy current. If the exterior overheating fault cannot be promptly discovered and be processed, it'll became the safety hidden trouble. The high voltage electrification device works with the high voltage (10kV and above), we can not use the traditional low voltage contact type way to measure. To measure the temperature of high voltage devices without contact, for instance, the commonly method is use infrared thermometer and infrared cameras. Infrared thermometer easy to operate, but only can measure regularly from the movement personnel to the equipment nearby, cannot has the real-time measurement. Infrared cameras use different temperature makes the thermal imagery color, can realizes the non- contact type to measure temperature. But because the infrared cameras price is high, so it mainly uses in the large-scale transformers and the important equipments. Along with the automation technology's development of power system, the substation turns to unmanned operation gradually, it needs to carry on the on-line monitoring to the exterior temperature of electrical equipments.This thesis mainly researches on the real-time temperature detector of high-voltage electrical equipment and design a kind of device based on wireless technology. This device includes temperature detecting-circuit, the waking-up circuit, power supply, communication modules. Temperature gathering uses DS18B20 can accurate measure the temperature of insulation blade gate,high voltage cable joint,High voltage switch cabinet and so on. A Microprocessor unit is designed to gather, calculate and judgment real-time temperature dates, and to transmit the data with the receive device transmission by wireless communication. The indoor equipment uses the infrared transmission mode with battery power supply; the outdoor equipment selects the RF wireless communication method with the solar energy power supply. A timer circuit is designed to wake up MPU, and sleep automatically so as to reduce power consumption and prolong power time.This device has many advantages such as wide measuring scope, low consume of power, high reliability, comparatively low price and the excellent performance. It solves the problem to measure the temperature of high-voltage electrical equipments. By on-time measuring the temperature exactly, it makes sure that the supplying of the electricity is safe. This system has been put the actual operation, the movement result indicated that this measurement system has the good timeliness and the reliability.
