Studies On The Landscape Design Of The University Campus

The landscape design of university campus plays an vital role as an important component of the all-round development of the campus environment, not only on shaping a good image of university, but also on forming the perfect personality of the students and promoting physical and mental health and harmonious development of university students. According to the situation of the growing of landscape construction in university campus and lacking of relevant theories, the paper analyzed and compared the current situations of the landscape of university campus, and put forward the questions of the landscape design and also concluded the development characters, design principles and design ideas. It discussed the five rooms: campus square, leisure scenic spots, courtyard sights, base room and sports areas, which formed the main sights of university campus environment. And the paper also did some design explanation on component elements of university campus environment. The study made every effort to make an abundant theory system of landscape design of modern university campus, and offered some useful reference for landscape design of modern university campus environment.This paper has three parts, including the part of finding problems, the part of analyzing problems and the part of solving problems. The part of finding problems is the introduction, which elaborated the origin of problems, and three problems including "deviation of value orientation", "the obscure characters" and "too many meaningless spaces" in landscape design of campus environment. It also brought forward the significance of the study. Analyzing question including the second and the third chapters, the second chapter conducted an investigation in the landscape development process of the campus environment in time sequence, the third chapter carried on the discussion and the research to the characters of the campus environment's landscape design. The part of solving question including both the fourth chapter, and the fifth chapter provided a series of solutions on the basis of intensive analysis to the problems, and brought forward the campus environment landscape design's Ideas, design principles, and the methods of the landscape space' construction. Besides it discussed the trend of the campus landscape's development.
