Growing with the construction of freeway, the problem of the traffic accident on freeway is remarkable day after day. The percentage of death in traffic accident is higher in China than overseas. This illuminates that the technology of the urgency succor in China is lagging. So the investigation on the freeway urgency succor makes sense on theoretic and practice. As an aspect of the emergency and safety, which is a subsystem of intelligent traffic system, the freeway urgency succor can reduce the percentage of death in traffic accident; at the same time, it can decrease traffic jam in time and prevent secondary traffic accident.Firstly, this paper contrasts the development of urgency succor overseas than the actuality in China. It analyses the difference between them and suggests the establishment of freeway urgency succor which adapts the situation in China. Then basing on the analysis of the characteristic of traffic accident on freeway, it summarizes every segment of freeway urgency succor and forecasts the four trends of freeway urgency succor.According to the organizing order of urgency succor, this thesis discusses the five subsystems particularly: the surveillance subsystem; the information transmission subsystem; the organizing of succor subsystem; the implement of succor subsystem and the management of succor subsystem. It dissertates the connection beyond the five subsystems and the connection between the five subsystems with the urgency succor system. Then from the aspects of system, equipment and management, it discusses how to intensify the urgency succor system so as to the efficiency is improved and the cost of the succor is reduced.Basing on the contrast of wire network and wireless network, this dissertation suggests the freeway urgency succor basing on the wireless network. It discusses the need and the feasibility of technology and economy of the urgency succor system which is basing on wireless communication. It also designs the project of the system.A new index system of freeway urgency succor is proposed firstly, and then the weight of the index is fixed on by the Analytic Hierarch Process. An example is brought in to check the index. At last the outcome and limitation of the research are summarized.
