| The waterfront is often the starting point for the formation and development of cities. Judging from the history of urban development, urban settlements are often intimately associated with natural water. Meanwhile, urban waterfront is the public open space which combines the natural scenery and artificial landscape and plays an important part in the formation of the civic environment and features. Among them, distinctive of its uniqueness of water body, urban riversides distinguishes itself in the scene space design.The paper started with the waterfront landscape planning theories research and expounds relevant concepts and connotations, through the study of domestic and abroad waterfront landscape planning experiences, We carried the field research and literature research, analyzed the historical evolution and waterfront current situation of Nai River, pointed out the contradiction between the ecology and rigid body of river-wall, explored how to plan and design the waterfront Landscape of Nai River from literature review.The paper falls into six parts. The first part outlines the research background, purpose and significance, research methodology and framework, introduces the history and the current situation of waterfront landscape at domestic and abroad, and at the same time, expounds the concepts about waterfront landscape. The second part, through the study of domestic and foreign waterfront landscape planning experience to guide the behind waterfront landscape planning and design. The third part introduces and the background of Nai River and the incentives and development opportunities of Nai River landscape transformation. The fourth part analyses overall environment of coastal and regional characteristics about Nai River, and in order to make the results of the analysis more clear. It is divided into three segments which are analyzed separately. The fifth part is the core of the paper. In view of the above discussion, it brings forwards specific program of Nai River's waterfront landscape planning and design. The sixth part is the conclusion of this paper. |
