Shipbuilding industry is an important mainstay industry which relates to the national defense construction and the national economy construction. Our country is the third largest country by the total amount of shipbuilding several years in succession, but has great difference in productivity with strong shipbuilding countries-Korea and Japan, application of advanced technology is one of the most important factors.Virtual simulation could simulate the real manufacture of product dynamically without consuming any physical materials, forecast the state of manufacturing system, and help enterprise make decision and plan. That's why virtual manufacture is widely used in product line simulation. Virtual simulation technology has become an effective way to solve analysis, design, control and management of complex manufacturing system. This makes sense to improve the productivity of shipbuilding.Based on eM-plant software and a shipyard in Guangzhou district, the main works are follows:1. With the annual production plan of a shipyard in Guangzhou district, the workload of workshop and production line, carrying capacity of storage yard, and working capability of processing equipment, all of this above are calculated.2. This thesis models the workshop, processing equipment, worker and road system, based on the data which has been calculated. Evaluating indicator for the model is given; the random factor is also introduced in this model.3. Integration of control panel in this simulation model. The whole shipbuilding process based on simulation is the core of this thesis, also is the point of innovation. Through the human-computer interface of eM-Plant, we can see the whole space-time information of the systemic equipments in practical process of production of future. By changing the input of the parameters and simulating the process of production and the impulsion of system arosed by fluctuation, we can introduce various factors which can not be considered in the state of idealization; therefore, we can know the all-sided actual flow and production information of the shipbuilding system.In virtue of the process simulation with eM-Plant, application of simulation technology in shipbuilding process is studied in this thesis. It has a theoretical and practical importance to improve shipbuilding efficiency and equipoise resources.
