Study On Architectural Protectual And Renewal Of The Historic Area In Suzhou

While urbanization is in high speed developing,architecture protection and renewal of the historical districts has become a popular topic.Regarding this,foreigners have systemic researches.But in our country,the design,material,craft,structure of the historical buildings in different areas have much difference with the similar patterns in foreign countries.They have the bright Chinese architectual feature.So,it is necessary to explore the topic of the architecture protection and renewal which is suitable to our country.Suzhou is a famous cultural city which has 2500 years old.It contains large number of historical buildings.In addition to the large-scale urban renewal in the recent 20 years,it also focus on the cases of the buildings protection and renewal which has much value. In the text,the author compares the cases in five historical districts recent years.The theories about protection and renewal have been summarized, both the domestic and international excellent case. The theories of image of the city,whole protection and organic renewal have also been introduced.The text mainly discuss three problems including numerous buildings protection and renewal,single building protection and renewal,fitting new buildings with old.It summarizes the metheds of buildings protection and renewal according to their protection rank and the design criterion of the new buildings in Suzhou.In addition,the topic of the use of the demolition and the energy conservation renewal have also been discussed.At last,the text has brought forward some suggestions on the architecture protection and renewal in Suzhou.
