The compressed-air energy,which exploits high-pressure air to work,is a kind of power device for converting compressed-air energy into mechanical energy. In the serious situation of resource shortage and environmental pollution,compared with traditional engine, the compressed-air engine has a lot of advantages .Recently the engine has been widely used in vehicle, electrical machine, navigation and other aspects. It has become an important way of conservation and pollution control abroad. A new structure of the triangle rotary piston air-powered engine is referred by redesigning the valve system with the structural characteristics of the triangular rotary piston petrol engine and the air-powered engine principle.Based on the knowledge of the principle of air-powered engine and the structure of triangle rotary piston, dynamics simulations and researches are done by using MATLAB,UG and ADAMS. This paper mainly finish the following processes∶1)The mathematics model has been established with the working principles of triangle rotary piston and air-powered engine is analyzed and the valve system is redesigned.2)The working characteristics of the triangle rotary piston air-powered engine are researched under the simulation. Then, the influences on the engine are brought by the parameters as speed,port timing,inlet air pressure.3) The thesis respectively establishes 3 -D entity model for each substructure, and all substructures are assembled the engine's 3-D entity model.4)The virtual prototype of the triangle rotary piston air-powered engine are builded up with automatic dynamic analysis software of mechanical systems ADAMS ,At the same time,the thesis establishes the rigid-dynamics model of the engine has been numerically simulated,obtaining the curses which are angular velocity and angular acceleration of crank shaft and triangle rotary piston changing with time, which provides a powerful basis for the improvement of engine structure.The conclusions of this paper are obtained ,which not only provide important reference data for trial-manufacturing and performance assessment of the triangle rotary piston air-powered engine physical prototype,but also has reference value for building virtual prototype and dynamic analysis of other complex mechanism,and provides an effective method and experience for the development of new product.
