Some area of the Northern and Western region in our country are covered with snow in winter, snow cover often brings a lot of disadvantageous conditions for translation and bad influence for people who go and come. The design of Snow Field Vehicle aims to improve these disadvantageous conditions.First, this article has analyzed the aim and significance of the design of Snow Field Vehicle. Secondly, mechanical properties of snow are studied,then integrated arrangement of the design of Snow Field Vehicle system is raised, on the basis of these analysis and research, kinematics and dynamics analysis are studied. Then, the structure design of Snow Field Vehicle is started.The structures of Snow Field Vehicle include Dynamical System, Transmission System and Traveling System.Dynamical System mainly choose power source.Transmission System includes the choice of transmission types, the choice of transmission modes, the design of Transmission System and decision of major elements. By analysis and compare, the hydraulic transmission system is decided, and transmission mode is double pumps- double motors, on the basis of these then the hydraulic transmission system is designed and major hydraulic elements are decided.Traveling System includes the choice of traveling types and the integrated design of traveling system. Track traveling system is superior to wheel traveling system on snow, so Track traveling system is decided. In addition to Track traveling mechinanics and Suspension mounts, large area chassis are used, when snow gets certain depth, making the chassis contact to the snow and supporting the partial vehicle's Weight, the Vehicle can be similar to"float"on the snow's surface.Finally, it is summary of the article.
